Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)

Manual lymphatic drainage is a special type of medical massage. Using special grip techniques according to the respective body region, the therapist stimulates the absorption of stagnant fluid from the tissue into the lymphatic vessel system. The transport of lymph fluid in the lymph vessels is stimulated by gentle grip techniques.
It is an important component of Complex Physical Decongestive Therapy (CPDT) for the treatment of lymph and lipedema patients. It is also used after severe orthopedic injuries or surgeries to reduce symptoms such as swelling and pain.

Manual Therapy (MT)

Manual therapy is one of the oldest therapeutic methods for treating problems in the musculoskeletal system with specific hand techniques.
Blockages or tensions are released with targeted hand techniques. In case of joint immobility or displaced vertebrae, the therapist intervenes manually by “adjusting” them. All this is done without effort and, on the one hand, relieves pain, and on the other hand, resolves the cause of the blockages.
This improves joint function, reduces pain, and increases mobility.

Connective Tissue Massage (CTM)

Connective tissue massage is an extremely effective method to specifically treat the fascia and the entire fascial system (connective tissue structures) of the body. It leads to quick and long-lasting relief for many functional diseases and pain conditions.
A connective tissue massage is beneficial if you suffer from, for example, rheumatism, chronic inflammation, or another disease.

Colon massage (CM)

Colon massage is a massage of the large intestine through the abdominal wall, which serves to support and activate natural bowel movement.
It is used in practice for feelings of tension and cramps in the abdominal area. Through flowing movement sequences and the stimulation of various pressure points, intestinal peristalsis is stimulated and bowel emptying is supported.

Classical Massage Therapy (CMT)

Classical massage therapy is used to relieve pain, loosen tense muscles, and promote blood circulation and metabolism.
Our therapists use targeted, manual grip techniques.
The combination of soothing stroking movements and targeted grip techniques causes an active physical reaction. Indirectly, a therapeutic influence on internal organs is achieved via cutivisceral reflexes.

Bobath (PT-CNS)

The Bobath physiotherapy approach has been developed as a holistic and individually adaptable treatment concept specifically for patients with damage to the central nervous system (CNS) – i.e., a neurological disease or disorder.
The goal of the therapy is to create new connections in the brain through recurring movement exercises. In this way, intact brain areas take over the functions of the damaged areas.

Therapy for Holistic Chiropractic and Manual Joint Therapy

The spine forms the basic framework of our body. With our holistic concept, we can help our patients to release blockages that affect the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system.
Targeted, gentle chiropractic measures can correct acquired misalignments that affect the entire body. Correct posture enables unhindered information flow in the nervous system.

Jaw Joint Treatment - Cranio-Mandibular Dysfunction (CMD)

The therapy for Craniomandibular Dysfunction (CMD) focuses on treating problems in the temporomandibular joint. Frequently, misalignments between the skull, jaw joint, and cervical spine, as well as improper stress on these areas, lead to a variety of symptoms such as headaches, back pain, dizziness, and facial pain, even extending to tinnitus. Physiotherapeutic treatment of temporomandibular joint problems includes various coordinated methods, including techniques for joint mobilization, muscle relaxation, stretching, and guidance for self-help.

Electrotherapy (ET)

During electrotherapy, special forms of electricity are used to achieve targeted heating of tissue in the human body, to reduce pain, stimulate nerves, promote the reduction of swelling in tissue, or activate the muscles.

Device-Supported Physiotherapy (DSP)

Device-supported physiotherapy is an active form of treatment in physiotherapy, where medical training devices and traction apparatus are used.
The aim of this form of therapy is to improve strength, endurance, mobility, and coordination. Device-based physiotherapy is an important element in rehabilitation after operations, bone fractures, or joint injuries, but can also be used in the prevention of wear and tear and back diseases.
Our physiotherapist creates an individual treatment plan depending on the clinical picture.

Kinesiotape/Tape

Kinesiotape is a special, elastic adhesive tape used to promote healing in sports injuries and overuse reactions. By applying the tape in conjunction with movement, a continuous massage of the connective tissue and muscles is created, improving microcirculation between skin and muscles. This treatment stimulates the body’s pain-relieving system, improves muscle function, and supports joint function.

Physiotherapy / Therapeutic Exercises (PT)

Physiotherapy and therapeutic exercises meet you at your current performance level and challenge/promote you in all areas of motor and cognitive performance parameters. Targeted exercises support the wound healing process and help you unfold your performance potential again.
These are often very subtle stretching, mobilization, and contraction exercises which – when performed regularly and combined with proper breathing – deliver excellent results and restore balance in the musculoskeletal system.

Personal Training (PT)

Personal training is an important component of the individually agreed goal to improve the physical performance and mobility of the patients. Targeted exercises and movement sequences are taught to train muscle strength, coordination, stability, and endurance.

Ultrasound (US)

Ultrasound therapy is a treatment method that is primarily used for pain in the musculoskeletal system, such as joint or spinal disorders. The ultrasound penetrates the tissue, leading to deep heat generation, increased blood flow, and improvement of healing processes. All of this results in the loosening of tense muscles and the alleviation of pain, especially pain caused by spinal disorders.

Heat Therapy / Fango (HT)

Fango originally consists of finely ground volcanic rock or processed natural peat. In heat therapy, we mostly use compresses or heat carriers, as these release heat more slowly and for a longer duration.
Areas of application include acute and chronic diseases of the musculoskeletal system, neuralgias, respiratory diseases, and for the relief of rheumatic complaints. We use the blood circulation-promoting and metabolism-stimulating effect of the fango application both for the preparation and follow-up of further therapeutic measures.

They show and explain everything in detail. Very clean and sterile. I have no knowledge of German and English, but the physiotherapist was very helpful and showed me everything through the translator. Only a pleasant impression. I will write about the results when the 6 sessions are over.

Especially as an athlete, it’s not easy to find a good practice with good physiotherapists. Thiemo and the team are really great. I feel comfortable and the therapy time is used each time with a noticeable added value!
